Determining your Eligibility for a Texas Vet Home Loan:

VA loan money for your home

To be eligible you must meet the criteria outlined in number 1, 2 or 3 below:

1. Served no fewer than 90 cumulative days of active duty service or active duty training in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, US Public Health Service, or recognized reserve component or,

2. Completed all required active duty training in National Guard or Reserves or

3. Served in ARVN between February 28, 1961 and May 7, 1975, VHAP and VHIP only.

You must also meet the criteria listed here:

- Not been dishonorably discharged.

- Paid in full any previous VLB loan, with any other active VLB loans current and in
  good standing.

- Unmarried surviving spouse of Texas veteran MIA, or KIA, or died of service-
  connected cause may be eligible.

- TX as home of record, or legal resident for a least one year, or current active
  duty stationed in Texas if legal resident.

- Must be a bona fide resident of Texas at time of application.
